Chris Tomlin believes the words of the Bible in Ezekiel 47:9: "so where the river flows, everything will live." Through his music ministry, Tomlin brings the mighty current of Christianity to any who will listen.
Tomlin has been involved in music ministry since 1991. A vocalist and guitarist, he is also a music company owner. Tomlin formed Rivermusic as the means to conduct his music ministry. He travels to camps, conferences, and revivals across the U.S. He also leads a contemporary worship service, called The Harvest, in his home of The Woodlands, Texas.
Tomlin teamed up with like minded individuals to form The Passion Worship Band in the late 1990s. Tomlin and The Passion Worship Band have released several albums, including Passion: Better Is One Day (2000), Passion: One Day Live (2000) and Our Love Is Loud (2002). The quartet makes a joyful noise, especially to young audiences who can relate to the group's upbeat, inspiring contemporary Christian music.
Tomlin released his first studio solo album, Not to Us, in September of 2002. He returned withArriving in 2004 and it debuted at No. 3 of the Top Christian Albums chart. |
